There are many places to play and stay in the greater Madrid, and Las Rozas de Madrid is one of the largest townships of the city.  Located about 18 km northwest of the city of Madrid, you can reach Las Rozas in an easy daytrip in your Madrid car hire via the A-6 highway to La Coruña and the M-505 road to El Escorial.  

You can also take the Spanish Railway system RENFE to Las Rozas.  It has more stations than any other Madrid municipality; Las Rozas, Las Matas, El Pinar, and El Tejar.  You may also want to visit one of its bordering towns; Torrelodones to the north, Villanuefa del Pardillo and Galapagar to the west, and Majadahonda in the south.

Las Rozas was once home to the most important film studio in Europe and aimed at becoming the largest in the world, but commercial failures in its films prevented it from ever becoming a famous film making location.  

The town is very interested in sports and has won two national sports prizes.  It has a soccer team which competes in the Spanish Third Division, an indoor football team, and a basketball team with significant prospects.
